Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store and a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while safeguarding company assets.

Lead Sales Associates perform duties of a Sales Associate and act as a lead in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail experience is a plus and helpful for quick ramp-up.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate on shelves; build displays following planograms.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; assist with sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
