Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and help set up displays.

You may act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager is absent. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate cash handling, following safety policies, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting store profitability.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases and provide change.
• Stock merchandise, rotate displays, and assist with planograms.
• Clean store, take out trash, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
