Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Florida is looking for a Lead Sales Associate to help keep a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate items, and support the Store Manager in daily tasks to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

The role also covers leading in the absence of store leadership and requires strong interpersonal skills, basic math, planogram compliance, and safe cash

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays following planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and help set up sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
