Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and support the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

This role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, safety awareness, and the ability to follow planograms. You may lead in the Store Manager’s absence and perform duties across front-end and stocking

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; collect payment and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under the Store Manager's direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
