Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate position seeks a customer-focused individual to lead service efforts, operate POS, stock and display merchandise, and maintain a clean store. You will act in a lead capacity in the absence of Store/Assistant Store Manager and ensure store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Required is a high school diploma with at least six months supervisory experience, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of planograms and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockrooms; assist sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
