Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service, lead store activities, and support merchandising and cashier operations. This role blends frontline sales with leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth daily store performance.

The position emphasizes greeting customers, handling cash, following planograms, stocking shelves, and assisting in opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow planograms and merchandising guidance.
Basic math and cash handling proficiency.
Willingness to work flexible hours and comply with store policies.

Responsibilities

Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise.
Follow store processes to receive, unpack, stock, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
Maintain store cleanliness, organize break areas, and set up sidewalk displays as needed.
Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
Open and close the store under the Store Manager's direction.
Perform duties of Sales Associate and assist in management tasks in the absence of supervisors.
