Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to ensure a clean, customer-first store environment. You will help customers locate merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and display items, and support store leadership in daily operations.

The role includes opening/closing duties, supervising tasks in the manager’s absence, and maintaining planograms and store standards to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchase, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack boxes; stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restroom and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
