Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to manage a clean, customer-first store and assist customers with purchases. You will operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and support leadership in the absence of the Store Manager.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cash handling accuracy, planogram adherence, and the ability to lift items. You may open/close the store and perform other leadership duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Proficiency with cash handling procedures and deposit recording.
• Basic math skills for totals, discounts, and change.
• Experience operating a cash register and scanners.
• Ability to drive to the bank to deposit money if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; stage displays and restock shelves.
• Clean the store and maintain facilities; handle trash and cleaning duties.
• Assist with planograms and merchandising setup.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
