Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to uphold a customer-first store environment. You will assist customers in locating merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help maintain clean, organized displays.

In the absence of Store Manager, you will act in a lead capacity and oversee daily operations. Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking, and ensuring planograms are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Basic math and POS/Cash handling skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and provide change.
• Receive, unpack, stock and rotate merchandise; create and adjust displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Assist in planogram implementation and store layout.
• Open/close the store under direction of the Store Manager; cover duties in their absence.
