Dollar General Corporation is hiring for a Cashier/Stocker role where you will lead in the absence of store leadership, provide exceptional customer service, and assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and store programs. You will unload shipments, stock shelves, rotate products, and help customers locate items while ensuring a clean, safe, and profitable store environment.

The position requires basic math, cash handling, and experience with IBM registers.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Experience operating IBM cash registers and related hardware.
• Familiarity with cashier accountability, cash controls, and security practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; customer service oriented.
• Understanding of safety policies and store protocols.
• Ability to read and implement plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.

Aufgaben

• Unload trucks and stock shelves per store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage inventory flow.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise and provide help at the front end.
• Operate the cash register, total purchases and make change.
• Keep front end clean and organized; maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Authorize refunds/overrides in absence of management; monitor cash levels.
