Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and lead in the absence of store management. You will assist with plan-o-grams, merchandise organization, and delivering outstanding customer service while safeguarding assets.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, process checkout transactions, greet customers, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. This role requires teamwork, accuracy in cash handling, and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or related experience preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills required.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage stock levels.
• Assist with plan-o-grams and merchandising programs.
• Greet customers and assist with locating items.
• Operate cash register and process payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager.
