Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of Store management. The role involves processing transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining plan-o-grams and displays while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, restocking, merchandising, and assisting customers. The position emphasizes teamwork, store cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and security practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, %).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stock merchandise from trucks and cartons.
• Assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and displays.
• Provide exemplary customer service and help customers locate merchandise.
• Operate the cash register, process payments, and make change.
• Keep store clean and organized, including front end and restrooms.
• Open/close store under Area Manager direction and assist in refunds/overrides as needed.
• Ensure cashier accountability and security practices.
