Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store management. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, assist with plan-o-grams, and provide excellent customer service while protecting assets.

You will also handle POS transactions, manage cash, and help maintain a clean, organized store. Flexibility in duties and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Cash handling procedures and cashier accountability knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as assigned.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Greet customers and operate cash register.
