Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a detail‑oriented Cashier/Stocker to perform frontline duties and lead in the absence of management. You will unload trucks, stock, greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized store.

You will follow SOPs, manage plan-o-grams, and support loss prevention. The role requires strong math, cash handling, and customer service skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and register procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise, rotate and face items on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide good service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize displays; help set up sidewalk displays.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, and handle payments.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager and ensure security procedures.
