Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Arkansa seeks a Store Supervisor to assist the Store Manager with daily operations, financials, and customer service. You will open/close the store, balance tills, prepare deposits, and supervise staff as needed.

The role emphasizes ACE customer experience, staff development, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, plus 12–18 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid Driver's License with a clear MVR.
• Good driving record with no suspensions in last 5 years.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors and coworkers.
• Some computer knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Occasionally supervises staff, giving them oral and written communications regarding work performance as necessary.
• Ensures ACE customer service for donors and customers.
• Monitors and controls the receiving, pricing, displaying and selling of store merchandise.
• Adequately stocks and maintains interior and exterior of the store in an attractive manner and rotates merchandise.
• Uses cash register to total sales, accepts payments and authorizes voids, returns, exchanges and credits; balances cash and prepares daily deposits.
• Participates in loss prevention by monitoring activities and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Initiates and completes payroll records in a timely manner and handles day-to-day paperwork in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment; enforces safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Keeps attendance records and coordinates scheduling with the Store Manager.
• Observes safety procedures and professional conduct; serves as a role model for staff and volunteers.
• Ensures the store is open and operational during designated hours.
