Job summary

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, maintaining personnel files, handling bank deposits, cash register duties, inventory, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Travel within Arkansas may be required; compliance with company policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and provides oral and written feedback on work performance.
• Interviews applicants and conducts workplace orientations for new hires.
• Maintains personnel files in a secure manner.
• Ensures customer service to all donors and customers and develops additional donors for the store.
• Motivates employees to meet production guidelines and sales targets.
• Oversees receiving, pricing, display and selling of merchandise within established price ranges.
• Balances cash receipts, processes daily bank deposits, and keeps store transaction records.
• Uses cash register for sales, payments, voids, returns, exchanges and credits.
• Ensures proper merchandise rotation and loss control; reports suspicious activity.
• Initiates payroll and personnel paperwork; supports store operations in the manager's absence.
• Maintains a clean and safe store, processing area and donation center.
• Ensures correct sales reports are submitted daily and attendance records are maintained.

Education

High School Diploma or GED with additional qualifications
