Books A Million in Hammond, LA seeks a Keyholder to act as a limited Manager on Duty, maintaining store security and supporting the management team.

You will lead a category team to maximize profits and service, train associates, ensure merchandising and cleanliness, and handle daily tasks such as banking, restocking, and coordinating communications. This role requires a high school diploma and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned category team to maximize profits and customer service while following company policies.
• Operate the store as a limited Manager On Duty with the management team.
• Maintain store security as a key-holding member of management.
• Ensure high level of customer service and resolve complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintain merchandising, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
• Train and develop Associates within category and facilitate cross-training.
• Communicate store updates through daily briefings and weekly/monthly meetings.
• Drop off bank deposits and pick up change orders as needed.
• Pick up café/grocery supplies (milk, baked goods, etc.) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
