Books-A-Million in Slidell, LA is seeking a Keyholder to act as a limited Manager on Duty, safeguarding store security and supporting the management team. You will lead assigned category teams, ensure customer service excellence, maintain merchandising standards, and train associates.

This role requires a high school diploma, prior supervisory experience, and availability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs. Join a team committed to helping customers discover stories and to growing with the company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operates the store as a limited Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store as a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates within category and facilitates cross-training for further development.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings.
• Drops off bank deposit and picks up change order as needed
• Picks up café grocery supplies as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
