Job summary

Blank Street in Boston is seeking a General Manager to own store operations, lead a hospitality team, and uphold top-tier coffee quality. You will recruit, train, and mentor staff, manage scheduling and inventory, and drive exceptional customer experiences while ensuring financial performance and local brand growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing single-store unit operations in high growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso and equipment.
• Full Time availability: 45 hours per week, 5 days, with 2 peak days.

Responsibilities

• Create a motivating and engaging team culture through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Cover scheduling gaps and publish staff schedules according to labor laws.
• Oversee and validate training quality by Shift Leads, providing feedback.
• Manage ordering, vendor relations, waste, inventory counts and compliance of our Inventory Management System.
• Lead by example behind the bar 50-70% of the week with high-quality beverages and food production.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness and presentation per company policies.
• Drive store financial performance and peak business throughput.
• Grow store AOV and meet sales goals through creative initiatives.
