Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a high-energy single-store operation in NYC. You will recruit, train, and develop the team, oversee inventory and vendor relations, and ensure top quality coffee and guest experience.

This role emphasizes scheduling, compliance with labor laws, achieving sales goals, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining a cheerful, welcoming store culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store unit operations in high growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Full Time availability: 45 hours per week, 5 days, and must be available to work 2 peak days (usually Fri–Sun).
• $67,000 - $80,000 annual salary in NYC; posted salary range with potential variations based on experience.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards in product quality and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a motivating and engaging team culture by training, coaching, and mentoring your team.
• Cover scheduling gaps and publish staff schedules according to state and local labor laws.
• Review and approve timecards and PTO to ensure accurate and timely pay.
• Recruit top talent in collaboration with People Team.
• Oversee and validate training quality by Shift Leads and provide feedback.
• Ensure coffee accreditations are handled on time for new employees.
• Maintain exceptional team engagement scores and store standards across recipes and service.
• Own ordering, vendor relations, waste management, and inventory counts in our Inventory Management System.
• Spend 50-70% of time leading by example behind the bar delivering high-quality food and beverage.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and presentation of the location per company policies.
• Develop ties with neighborhood businesses to grow local brand loyalty and store performance.
• Drive store financial performance and peak business throughput.
