Staples is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive sales, services and customer engagement in-store. You will guide a team to build loyalty, provide total solutions, and grow the business while ensuring the store is ready for business. Immediate hiring is available.

Responsibilities include leading a high-performing team, coaching for performance, and achieving sales and profitability targets with effective store operations and merchandising guidance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services environment.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing business priorities.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10–50 pound range and stand/walk continuously.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and consultative selling.
• Coach, train, and role-play to improve team performance.
• Achieve sales, services goals, and maintain profit margins and store operations.
• Establish business cadence for sales readiness and merchandising opportunities.
• Delegate operational tasks in partnership with the GM and share responsibility for cost control.
• Champion company initiatives and adapt to change.
