Job summary

Staples, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager to drive in-store sales, customer engagement, and team performance. You will lead a customer-centric team, coach associates, and implement solutions that meet customer needs while upholding store standards.

You will guide staff in a fast-paced environment, manage daily operations, and work with the GM to ensure successful store performance and community involvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Review results against business goals and develop plans for growth and improvement.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10–50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team focused on delivering an exceptional store experience.
• Coach and train staff to meet sales and service goals.
• Drive conversions and provide total solutions to customers.
