Job summary

Sur La Table is opening a new store and seeking a Store Floor Lead to support the GM/Store Manager. You will oversee daily operations as Manager on Duty, coach the team in real time, and ensure a premier guest experience consistent with our brand standards.

You will help train new associates, maintain product knowledge, and drive sales goals while upholding stock and merchandising standards across the floor.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail management experience; preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement. Communicate issues to GM/SM.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table's brand by creating memorable, educational experiences for customers.
• Lead a customer-focused, guest-obsessed culture to ensure exceptional service.
• Oversee store performance with KPIs like sales, AOV, and conversion.
• Direct staff to maintain proper stock levels and visual standards on the floor.
