Job summary

Sur La Table is looking for a Floor Lead to assist the General Manager or Store Manager in daily operations and sales goals. You will lead by example on customer service, train employees, and help manage stock, merchandising, and store policies.

You will coach staff, ensure timekeeping and inventory accuracy, and drive initiatives to enhance the customer experience. Prior retail supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales and customer service experience; prior Sur La Table sales experience preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in POS systems.
• Some experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Food handlers certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support training for all employees to keep them informed and capable.
• Model and enforce customer service standards.
• Communicate and uphold SLT policies and SOPs.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback.
• Support sales initiatives and create daily agendas.
• Direct staff to maintain stock and visual standards.
• Maintain product knowledge and seek training resources.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping per policy.
• Handle inventory transactions and POS transactions.
• Demonstrate strong communication with staff, customers, and management.
• Record time worked accurately per policy.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
