Job summary

Sur La Table in the United States is hiring a Store Floor Lead to inspire customers and manage daily store operations as MOD. You will coach staff, onboard new associates, and uphold brand standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will drive sales, identify customer needs, and optimize in-store performance while maintaining stock, labor and visual standards in a fast-paced culinary retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintain expertise on products through training and self-directed learning.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a guest-obsessed culture.
• Support achievement of store sales goals through effective customer engagement and team motivation.
• Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to maximize selling opportunities.
• Ensure store performance metrics such as average transaction value and conversion are met.
• Direct employees to maintain appropriate stock levels and proper merchandising.
• Complete inventory transactions and adhere to wage and hour laws.
