Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Store Floor Lead in Carlsbad to drive daily store performance and deliver a best-in-class guest experience.

You will act as MOD, coach staff, manage operations, and ensure inventory and visual standards while pursuing store sales goals.

Strong leadership, communication, and customer-focus are essential; familiarity with POS and retail systems is valued. Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail management experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and retain a high performing team
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement; report to GM/SM.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational guest experiences.
• Lead initiatives to meet or exceed monthly sales goals and monitor KPIs.
• Direct staffing and ensure merchandise stock levels and visual standards are maintained.
