Job summary

Sur La Table in Madison, WI is seeking a Store Floor Lead to inspire customers through every stage of their culinary experience. In this leadership role, you will support the GM or SM, serve as MOD, and help drive sales and in-store performance while maintaining the brand’s standard of excellence.

You will coach and develop associates, stay current on products, deliver guest-obsessed service, and ensure stock, SOPs, and scheduling are aligned with store goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail management experience is required.
• Strong leadership with ability to inspire and retain high performing teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with retail management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable customer experiences.
• Stay current on products, engage in training, and seek additional resources.
• Lead a customer-focused, guest-obsessed culture and address customer concerns promptly.
• Support achievement of store sales goals through customer engagement and motivation.
• Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to maximize selling opportunities.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
