Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, is seeking a Project Manager I to manage new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out.

Responsibilities include overseeing bidding, contracts, budgets, schedules, and cross-functional coordination with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and vendors to ensure timely store openings and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Ability to travel weekly (ME/NC/PA/SC area).

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes with GC's, CM's, and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee bid documents, RFQ packages, and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and payment processing for Food Lion work.
• Administer Construction Change Authorization/Change Order processes and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Lead project meetings, coordinate with internal departments, and monitor progress against schedules.
• Inspect on-site work for quality, safety, and alignment with plans and prototypes.
