Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I, Store Development, to lead new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through warranty. The role requires managing bids, contracts, budgets, schedules and turnover while coordinating with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and Engineering.

Ideal candidates have a construction background, strong leadership and communication skills, and willingness to travel 80% (Mon–Thu with a remote office on Friday).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel weekly (80% travel).
• Experience managing multi-project construction initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's/CM's and subcontractors on Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and payments for construction work.
• Coordinate with internal departments to align schedules, budgets and changes.
• Review ARCH/MEP plans for compliance with prototype standards and codes.
• Provide value engineering feedback to improve constructability and cost.
• Lead project meetings, monitor progress, and drive on-time turnovers and openings.
