Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development to oversee new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out. You will manage bids, contracts, schedules and budgets, coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-time openings and compliance with prototype standards.

Role requires 80% travel Monday-Thursday with a remote office day on Friday, residence in NC/SC/VA preferred, and authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Ability to travel weekly and manage projects across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding, contracting and requisition processes for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee construction schedules, budgets and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E and Operations.
• Ensure safety compliance and perform post-project closeout activities.
