Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Bookkeeper to support store management with sound accounting practices and assist in handling vendor invoicing, data entry, and inventory controls.

As part of the team, you will balance cash, process deposits, and maintain daily store records while upholding Town Pump standards and providing excellent customer service in a convenience store setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and handling accounts receivable/payable.
• Familiarity with vendor invoicing and data entry processes.
• Ability to balance cash and prepare deposits.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager with accounting decisions and store procedures.
• Set professional example for coworkers in customer service and store operations.
• Prioritize and complete office tasks efficiently.
• Ensure security of store assets, including cash, fuel, and inventories.
• Process deposits, closeouts, and accounting transactions.
• Complete store paperwork, reports, and inventory adjustments.
• Order office supplies and audit costs vs. retail prices in system.
• Record sales and purchases, balance records with office reports, and verify payroll timecards.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
