Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Bookkeeper to support store operations with accurate accounting, inventory control, and payroll readiness.

You will assist the store manager in implementing sound accounting decisions, handle vendor invoices and data entry, balance cash deposits, complete daily reports, and maintain precise records of purchases, sales, and shortages. A valid driver's license is required and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in basic bookkeeping and cash handling.
• Ability to manage accounts payable/receivable and deposits.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in accounting decisions and follow Town Pump standards.
• Maintain security of store assets and balance cash, fuel, and inventories.
• Process accounts receivable, deposits, banking, and closeouts.
• Record and audit daily sales, purchases, markups/downs, and inventory adjustments.
• Enter purchases into the computer and balance store records with office reports.
• Verify timecards for payroll and ensure accuracy of records.
