Town Pump Company is seeking a motivated Store Bookkeeper to join our team in Montana. You will work alongside the store manager to implement sound accounting practices, handle vendor invoices, and maintain accurate daily records for cash, inventory, and payroll.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and collaboration with store staff to ensure accurate reporting and smooth operations. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with handling cash, deposits, and basic accounting entries.
• Ability to balance store records with office reports.
• Ability to process invoices and record purchases in computer system.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with accounting decisions and office procedures.
• Prioritize and follow up on office tasks.
• Maintain security of store assets and cash, and audit shift reports.
• Process accounts receivable: counting money, deposits, banking, closeout.
• Complete store paperwork: daily reports, purchases, markups/downs, inventory adjustments.
• Order office supplies and audit cost vs retail price; enter purchases.
• Record sales and purchases in the running book and balance with office reports.
• Verify timecards for payroll.
• Maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
