Steve Madden in New Orleans seeks a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to collaborate with the Store Manager on daily store operations and to lead a team in delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with brand values.

You will drive profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, and community connection, while coaching staff and ensuring loss prevention and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, service, inventory, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure brand standards.
• Guide and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategy.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Assist in training, operations, and store administration.
• Support in hiring qualified candidates and staff development.
• Operate POS system and manage daily store processes.
