Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) in Baton Rouge to work with the Store Manager on daily operations, drive sales, and lead a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience that mirrors our brand values.

Responsibilities include merchandising, inventory control, staff training, scheduling, and enforcing loss prevention and safety policies. A 3–5 year retail background and a high school diploma are required, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop staff and coach team members.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist in store operations alongside the Store Manager to maximize profitability.
• Guide and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Implement visual merchandising and maintain brand standards.
• Ensure proper replenishment and inventory control on the selling floor.
• Support in hiring and training qualified candidates.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies.
• Process transactions and use POS system to manage information.
• Be flexible and support other duties as needed.
