Job summary

Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc. seeks a Store Assistant Manager to support daily store operations and revenue growth in our Donated Goods Retail team. You will assist the Store Manager with leadership, training, and ensuring compliance with policies while delivering excellent service to customers and donors.

Your role includes managing cash handling, reporting, scheduling, and coordinating with volunteers, drivers, and staff to optimize store performance and mission impact.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and communicates effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Offer is contingent upon drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, timecard management, supply ordering, and maintenance reporting with the Store Manager.
• Oversee store branding, security, donation processing, product rotation, and janitorial upkeep per policy.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure accurate reporting of sales, donor counts, payroll, and deposits.
• Support customer and donor experience and lead team meetings as needed.
• Stay informed on industry trends and participate in Goodwill events.
