Job summary

Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to support daily store operations and the mission of Goodwill.

You will handle customer purchases, accurately ring up items, stock merchandise, and ensure the store remains clean and welcoming for shoppers. Under the Store Manager’s direction you will train team members and volunteers, assist with donations, and help maintain pricing, rotation, and cashier accuracy while following Goodwill policies.

Qualifications

• Must pass skills and knowledge assessment testing.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Pass drug test and criminal background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer-based register system and handle cash.
• Perform basic financial calculations for cash handling and register balancing.
• Count till before/after shifts and reconcile drawers for accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with store operations.
• Meet production standards for stocking, pricing, sorting and pulling merchandise.
• Train and develop store team members and volunteers.
