Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to collaborate with the Store Manager on all store operations. This role focuses on guiding and developing a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with Steve Madden standards.

The candidate will help drive sales through effective merchandising, loss prevention, and training, while ensuring smooth daily store administration and a strong, energetic team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection.
• Create amazing customer experiences through client focus and collaboration, ensuring the team delivers memorable experiences.
• Partner with Store Manager to implement visual merchandising directives and maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies and company directives.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, merchandising, inventory management, and store administration.
• Foster an environment of development and accountability.
• Process information or merchandise through the POS system.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates and support staffing needs.
