Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to work with the Store Manager on all store operations, guiding and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with brand values.

You will partner with leadership to maximize profitability, manage merchandising, and ensure compliance with company standards while developing staff and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Retail experience required: 3–5 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Experience coaching and developing staff.
• Experience using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through engagement and compliant operations.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through client focus and teamwork.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention, safety policies, and store standards.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, merchandising, inventory, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process merchandise and data through POS system.
• Assist in hiring and selecting qualified candidates.
• Be flexible and perform duties beyond role as needed.
