Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (Full-Time) to collaborate with the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations in Arcadia, CA. This role focuses on delivering an outstanding customer experience and coaching a team of brand advocates to uphold Steve Madden standards.

You will assist in training, visual merchandising, inventory, and staff scheduling, ensuring profitability while maintaining brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to address business goals and needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Understanding of how to develop staff with experience in staffing, coaching, counseling, etc.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection align with standards.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through a strong client focus and collaboration, motivating the team to deliver memorable experiences.
• Partner with the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising directives to maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure appropriate replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention and safety policies and procedures, standards and practices, and company directives.
• Assist in store operations including training, operations, sales, visual merchandising, inventory management, store administration, and customer service.
