Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area, supervise Associates, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will open/close the store, maintain merchandising standards, and coach team members on front-end procedures and cash handling.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, training staff on POS and loss prevention, and ensuring a friendly, well-organized shopping experience for customers. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations and Associates during shifts.
• Open and close the store; ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment.
• Train and coach staff on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Manage the flow of customers to minimize wait times at the front end.
• Uphold company policies on loss prevention and stockroom organization.
• Support merchandising standards and back-room processes.
