Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area, open/close, supervise Associates, and ensure a welcoming, well-merchandised environment.

You will execute company processes, maintain safety, manage front-end operations, and support merchandising, stockroom, and loss prevention. The role requires strong customer service and supervisory experience, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of the store floor and facilities.
• Lead front-end operations to ensure efficient checkout and customer flow.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and loss prevention.
• Schedule breaks and manage back-office tasks.
• Oversee merchandising, receiving, and stockroom organization.
• Assist with administrative duties and store management when needed.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and company policies.
