Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and support operations as Manager on Duty. You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, ensure merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

You will execute store processes, coach staff on cash handling, floor moves, and safety standards while maintaining the brand and driving sales. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and strong leadership in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment.
• Open/close the store; supervise Associates; ensure a clean, merchandised space.
• Lead Front End operations to reduce Customer wait times.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and store policies.
• Oversee merchandise receiving and stockroom organization.
• Assist with Loss Prevention and policy compliance.
