Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area, supervise Associates, and ensure smooth operations from opening to closing. You will maintain a safe, clean, and well merchandised environment while enforcing company policies and procedures.

Key duties include training front-end staff, managing cash handling and POS usage, and coordinating loss prevention efforts. Evening and weekend availability is required to support store needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other Front End procedures.
• Controls front end break schedules for backups, lunches and breaks and ensures equipment functions.
• Performs Administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and merchandised store per Company standards.
• Ensures loss prevention awareness and adherence to Company policies.
