Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area with responsibility for opening/closing, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will ensure proper merchandising and a clean work area, while executing Company processes as needed. You will train and coach team members on cash registers and front-end procedures, uphold loss prevention standards, and support store leadership in daily operations, including scheduling and payroll-related

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when on duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Enforce loss prevention and safety policies.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and POS procedures.
• Manage front end operations and reduce customer wait times.
• Perform payroll-related duties and scheduling as needed.
