Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and assist in daily operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a welcoming, well merchandised shopping environment while upholding company processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, training staff on POS systems, and ensuring compliance with merchandising standards and loss prevention policies. Evening/weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned by Store Manager.
• Supervise store associates and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and loss prevention standards on the sales floor.
