Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area and support operations as the Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise Associates, maintain a friendly shopping environment and ensure merchandise presentation meets company standards.

Responsibilities include front-end supervision, loss prevention, payroll administration, and daily store upkeep. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and evening/weekend availability in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safe and secure environments with loss prevention awareness.
• Lead Front End supervision to manage lines and improve wait times.
• Assist with payroll administration and other duties as assigned.
• Manage stockrooms, back stock, and merchandising in the assigned area.
