Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment, and maintain consistent merchandising and process execution.

Responsibilities include front-end supervision, loss prevention, staff coaching, payroll and administrative duties, with opportunity for growth within a Fortune 500 retailer.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when on duty.
• Maintain safe, clean, well‑presented areas and merchandise standards.
• Ensure front-end processes, POS handling and customer service are executed to standards.
• supervise loss prevention practices and daily administrative duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with Store Manager to meet company policies and shopper needs.
