Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist the Store Manager with daily operations, staffing, and merchandising.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure safety, customer service, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a friendly, efficient shopping environment.

This role requires occasional evenings/weekends, hands-on leadership, and a focus on loss prevention, front-end performance, and accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and English fluency required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and basic math skills required; evenings/weekends availability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations and Associates during shifts.
• Open and close the store as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain safe, clean, and merchandised sales floor.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and security procedures.
• Train and coach Associates on front-end processes.
• Manage payroll administration and scheduling.
