Job summary

Ross Stores in the United States is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area, manage opening/closing duties, and supervise Associates as the Manager on Duty. You will ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.

Responsibilities include enforcing company processes, supervising loss prevention, training staff on cash registers and front-end procedures, and maintaining strong customer service while supporting Store

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure store environment and supervise staff during shifts.
• Open and close the store and manage associates as Store Lead on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas are maintained to standard.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and loss prevention procedures.
• Oversee front-end operations and ensure a positive customer experience.
